Chuck Liddell paid Ariel Helwani and MMA Fighting a visit to their New York studio to discuss his return to mixed martial arts, as well as numerous recent controversies.
Despite being 48 years old, UFC legend Chuck Liddell told Ariel Helwani earlier this afternoon that he is willing to fight three more times before retiring for good, and that his final fight should be against estranged superstar Jon “Bones” Jones.
But first, it appears that the “Iceman” will have his hands full this year.
Liddell told Helwani that negotiations between Tito Ortiz and his camp are almost finalized for a trilogy fight and that they should be locking horns towards the end of 2018. While there’s no doubt that Liddell is still in tremendous shape– check out those pipes in the short clip below– it would come as no surprise that a fight against the former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones might never materialize. Still, Liddell made it clear that he misses fighting:
Liddell also called rising strawweight star Mackenzie Dern “disrespectful” for showing up seven pounds overweight to her UFC 224 fight against Amanda Bobby Cooper.
